Dhikr of Allah is the most excellent act of Allah's servants and is stressed over a hundred times in the Holy Qur'an. It is the most praiseworthy work to earn Allah's pleasure, the most effective weapon to overcome the enemy, and the most deserving of deeds in reward.
The People of Paradise will only regret one thing: not having made enough dhikr in the world! Are not those who are making up reasons to discourage others from making dhikr afraid of Allah in this tremendous matter
“Believers, remember Allah often and glorify Him morning and evening.”41-42 of Surah Al-Ahzaa
Abudullah Bin Bisr narrated that one person asked, “Ya Rasool Allah! There are many commands on me of Islam. Tell me of such a thing which I may hold on to steadfast. Rasool Allah replied, “Always keep your tongue wet from dhikr of Allah.” (Tirmizi)

- Dhikr washes out the sins.
- Dhikr saves from the punishment of Allah.
"According to one tradition of Prophet(SAW) there is no other act but dhikar which saves from Allah's punishment."
It includes recitations of the Holy Qur’an, Kalima-e-Tayyeba, Astaghfaar, and Darud Shareef. Think of Salah. It is all dhikr. Surah Al-Fatiha, the recitation of other verses from the Holy Qur’an, and the asbeehaat in Ruku and Sajdah are dhikr.
